I’m the owner, maker, artist, designer, fabric dyer, screen printer, photographer and blogger for the namesake of my blog, Second Happy Designs, which is my handmade fabric accessories business.
I design and sew colorful coasters, fabric baskets, desk mats and other fabric accessories, using a fun blend of repurposed clothing and other great textiles from thrift stores! Since this is my “official” introduction to my BLOG, I want to give you a glimpse of the kinds of things that you can find when you visit HERE. I’ve always loved to create; so, yes, my creative business is definitely a topic on my blog. But rest assured, I enjoy so many other things too; which means that my creative business is not the only focus in this space.
I taught myself how to type when I was 10 years old and I’ve always loved writing; which probably made it inevitable that I would be a blogger someday! 😉 I also LOVE sharing my joy; and it’s so enjoyable to be sharing many other topics here with YOU, such as:

So, before I end this introduction to my blog, let me take a second to say how grateful I am to my awesome family who has ALWAYS encouraged and supported my independent spirit and helped me in unbelievable ways simply based on their faith in me. It’s taken a few years and a lot of courage-boosting for me to reach this creative point; but I’m so thrilled to have my own handmade business now because I LOVE to create!
I love to write. I love to share. I love to smile and laugh and I also love to share the many things that I smile ABOUT in life. And believe me when I say that that’s a whole LOT of love! Hopefully, many of those things will also make YOU smile and maybe even love too!
You know, most people these days say that, “nobody blogs anymore”. Well, I happen to be one of those people who still loves to think and communicate through the written word–which means that my Second Happy Designs Blog and I aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. I may take a pause here in there when I need to concentrate my focus in another direction for a bit; but, stick with me, folks, because this blog space is definitely created to have a good time!
